Ask us directlyCUBE Arena
What is CUBE Arena, and why start there?
CUBE Arena is the open-space version: 10 or more challenge games on one floor from 250 m². There are no partition walls, ceilings, doors or per-room services to build, so fit-out is cheaper and you open sooner — and because the games sit in the open, the floor advertises itself to everyone walking past.
How is Arena different from a CUBE Standard Format?
The games, the scoring and the quality are the same. A CUBE Standard Format puts 15 or more games in closed, fully themed rooms and needs 400 m² or more. Arena puts 10 or more games on one open floor from 250 m², with a lower fit-out cost, easier monitoring and better compatibility with F&B.
Does Arena work inside an existing venue?
Yes — that is what it is designed for. Arena drops into malls, family entertainment centres, trampoline parks, hotels and resorts, bowling venues and similar high-footfall spaces, and the open format keeps sightlines to your other attractions.
Can one venue run both formats?
No — a venue runs one format or the other, never both under one roof. Many operators start with an Arena and open a CUBE Standard Format later.
What is coming next for Arena?
The same new era of CUBE OS that every CUBE gets: dynamic difficulty that adapts to each player, three to four game modes and four to five unlockable levels per challenge, personal scores with loyalty tiers, achievements, tokens and rankings across every location. Arena venues get it exactly as CUBE Standard Format venues do.
Space & investment
How much space do I need?
CUBE Arena: from 250 m² for 10 games or more — the games sit in the open at around 25 m² each, and the floor can share the reception of the venue it drops into. Bigger floors simply take more games. CUBE Standard Format: from 400 m² for 15 rooms or more, plus around 150 m² once it carries its own reception, registration, lockers, briefing room and WC.
What is included in the package?
Blueprints and 3D design of your space, all IT and access control, every construction, material, detector, light and effect, a basic CUBE signage package (5 signs), game and electric props, 2000 RFID wristbands, travel and accommodation of our installation team, full game documentation, online technical support, a 1 year replacement warranty, spare parts and staff training.
What am I responsible for?
Reception and common areas set up to our suggestions, electrical equipment (power-network wiring), painting, entrances and wall construction, the internet connection and remote software access, moving delivered equipment inside your premises, and any services local authorities require.
What does it cost?
The investment depends on your premises, your game count and local build costs, so we quote per project rather than publishing a price list. Send us the space and the city and you get the figure with the layout.
How long does it take to open?
Five phases: agreement, design (blueprints and 3D), buildout, installation with staff training, then launch. Timing depends on your premises and permits — Arena is the faster of the two versions because there is far less to build.
What happens at launch?
Branding goes up, your venue website goes live and the launch campaign runs — then ongoing IT, artwork and technical support from our own departments.
Games & software
How many games are there, and how do I choose?
43 games across Physical, Brain, Skills and Horror. A CUBE Standard Format installs 15 or more of them and an Arena 10 or more, and we help you pick the mix for your catchment.
Which games can run on an open Arena floor?
36 of the 43 run on an open Arena floor; the rest are built for a closed room and are CUBE Standard Format only. The challenges list marks which is which, and each game page names its build: open bay with no walls, a walled room of about 25 m², or a fully enclosed room.
Which apps make up CUBE OS?
7 apps: the Main Control App for staff (room management, teams and users, sessions, stats and logs), the Registration App where players sign in, accept your waiver and terms and pair a wristband, an Outside App at every room door for mode and level, an Inside App — or a Unity game app — on every game inside the room, the Live Progress Scoreboard App showing a player their live session on the venue's screens, the Leaderboard App for local and worldwide ranking, and a Photobooth App in the lobby. The online player account and dashboard is a separate, extra layer — players log into it from any device, it is not one of the in-venue apps.
What is CUBE OS?
Our own operating software. It registers players, gives them access to the games, sets a game duration per team, and lets the Game Master control room status, monitor players and keep scores, records and leaderboards.
Is there a separate licence fee for CUBE OS?
No. CUBE OS is our own software and comes with the licence — there is no third-party licence fee on top.
How does a player get into a game?
Every player collects a CUBE wristband at the counter, scans it to register with their team, and the wristband then opens the games. CUBE OS times each game, records the score and keeps the records and leaderboards.
Do we get new games after opening?
Yes. The challenges list keeps growing and existing operators can add or swap games — that is part of staying ahead of local competition.
Who plays, and how long does a session last?
Teams are 2–4 players on an Arena floor and 2–6 in a CUBE Standard Format — families, friends, students and athletes, all ages, no special physical ability required. Each game is timed by CUBE OS, and the team plays game after game against the clock. Horror games are for players aged 16 and above.
Safety & support
How safe is it?
All constructions are self-supported, protective foam of 2–10 cm and 2 cm rubber corners go in where required, mattresses are fireproof classified and mechanisms run on 12–24 V. Players can leave any game at any time and every door unlocks automatically in a power outage.
Is there a warranty, and how do spare parts work?
Every installed game carries a one-year replacement warranty, and spare parts are part of the package. The games are designed, engineered and built in house, so the parts are ours — there is no third-party manufacturer in the chain.
Who installs the games?
Our own installation team. They travel to your venue with every construction, screen, detector and effect plus the 2000 RFID wristbands, install the floor and train your staff — their travel and accommodation are in the package.
What marketing support do we get?
A complete marketing and promotional plan for your launch, then ongoing artwork, web and software development, graphics, social media and online ads from our own departments — plus immediate access to the CUBE marketing kits and merchandising.
Do players sign a waiver?
Yes. Your waiver and terms of use are built into registration: a player accepts them before an account is created and before any game opens, and the acceptance is recorded against that player. You give us your text, we put it in front of every player at the counter or on their own screen.
Is my city available?
25 venues are open in 14 countries and 3 more are contracted. Territories are allocated one operator at a time, so ask us early and we will tell you what is still free.
Age & teams
What is the minimum age?
The challenges play from about 6 upwards with an adult in the team, and the Horror games are 16+. Your own venue may set a higher floor, and where local law requires parental authorisation for minors that sits with you as the operator — the waiver step in registration can carry it.
How big is a team?
2–4 players on an Arena floor and 2–6 in a CUBE Standard Format. The team plays together, game after game, against the clock.
